FestEval is a personal festival rating and planning tool. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

We only collect data that is necessary for the app to function:
Your data is used solely to make the app work — specifically to save your ratings, sync them across your devices, and share them with groups you have joined. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose.
Account data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides authentication and cloud database services. Firebase stores data on Google's infrastructure, primarily in the European Union. Google's privacy policy applies to the infrastructure layer and can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.
FestEval uses your browser's local storage to save your ratings and preferences on your device. If you are signed in, Firebase Auth uses cookies to maintain your session. These are strictly necessary for the app to function and are not used for tracking or advertising.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking technologies.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as required to operate the service (i.e. Google Firebase as described above). Your ratings are only shared with other users in groups that you have explicitly joined.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, please contact festeval.uk [at] gmail.com. You can also delete your account and all associated data by contacting us directly. We will respond to any such requests within 30 days.
Your data is retained for as long as you have an account. If you request deletion, all personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Locally stored data (in your browser) can be cleared at any time using the Clear Data option in Settings, or by clearing your browser's local storage.
FestEval is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
